They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Fernando Mendoza is the Raiders' quarterback, full stop.

They banked enough surplus on Roberts to cover a lot of smaller sins. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. If Bowry pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
