GOATman123 DRAFTING FOR THESteelers
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Steelers
Overall
B
ValueB

TradesB-
FutureB-
The Steelers answered their biggest question with Simpson. Grade: B. The Steelers spent the pick that matters most on Ty Simpson, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape.
Getting Moss where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. Reaching for Reiger left real value on the table behind him.
It is not that Rutledge is a bad player; it is that the Steelers had louder needs to answer first. The safety hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick Analysis
Pick21
Rnd1
Ty Simpson
In the Round 1 slot they get the face of the franchise. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick53
Rnd2
Caleb Tiernan
Caleb Tiernan in slot 53 is fair value, right on his grade. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick76
Rnd3
Malachi Fields
Malachi Fields at pick No. 76 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick85
Rnd3
Max Klare
Max Klare at the 85th pick is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the tight end. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick99
Rnd3
Chandler Rivers
Chandler Rivers in Round 3, Pick 35 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick121
Rnd4
Mason Reiger
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Mason Reiger well ahead of where he belonged. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick135
Rnd4
Keylan Rutledge
A surprising call. With safety and linebacker still to address, they spent the 135th overall pick on Keylan Rutledge, an offensive lineman they were not short of.
Pick161
Rnd5
Zxavian Harris
A tidy little value on Zxavian Harris in pick 161, a step better than break-even. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick216
Rnd6
Cole Payton
The board fumbled Cole Payton all the way to the 216th pick, and they scooped it up. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick224
Rnd7
Eric McAlister
They robbed the room for Eric McAlister here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick230
Rnd7
Thaddeus Dixon
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Thaddeus Dixon in the 230th overall pick. The roster fit checks out.
Pick237
Rnd7
Le'Veon Moss
A top-tier running back at a bargain, Le'Veon Moss in No. 237, plain and simple. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
