FrankCorsi DRAFTING FOR THESeahawks
Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall
B
ValueA-
NeedB
TradesB-
FutureB-
The Seahawks robbed the room for Styles. Final grade: B. The rest of the league will want that one back. Sonny Styles tumbling to the Seahawks in the 64th overall pick is a gift they did not have to think twice about. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.
That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. They went 3 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
They reloaded the coverage unit in bulk.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
Pick Analysis
Pick32
Rnd1
Avieon Terrell
In the 32nd overall pick they get a potential shutdown corner, outstanding value to boot. Need was not the driver here.
Pick64
Rnd2
Sonny Styles
Sonny Styles at Round 2, Pick 32 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick96
Rnd3
Malachi Fields
Malachi Fields slid further than he should have, and No. 96 is lovely value for the wide receiver. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick212
Rnd6
Luke Altmyer
They read the board right and Luke Altmyer was the payoff at slot 212. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
