The Cardinals did not so much draft Dijon Johnson as overpay for him, 20 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend. Good, not great, and the B says as much.

The Slaughter pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
