The Rams lost the trade table, and the D- tells the story. When the story of this class is written, it opens with Isaiah Jatta at the Round 5 slot, a reach of 75 spots that the board flatly disagrees with. Put together, it is a D-.
The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. They will regret leaving running back for another day if the season turns on it. Spending an early pick on cornerback with running back and interior defensive lineman open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to.
On value alone, Daniels makes the weekend a net positive.
Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and running back is still a hole.
