It is a puzzling start. The Rams had running back and edge rusher to solve and reached instead for Devin Moore, a cornerback, at the 93rd pick.

If Heinecke pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. They punted on running back, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

Landing Sadiq that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the running back spot they never got to.
