Mendoza is the Raiders' new face under center. Grade: D-.

Every swap seemed to tilt away from the Raiders, and the value they bled adds up to real damage.

Fernando Mendoza gives the offense a face and a plan, and the grade leans heavily on whether he hits. The Raiders indulged a want in Louis while a need in running back stayed open. A whole weekend of picks and running back is somehow still a want.

They are betting Louis proves the room right and everyone else wrong. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Slaughter.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and running back is still a hole.

A market-rate quarterback, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Fernando Mendoza. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.

Good price on CJ Allen in Round 2, Pick 4, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. A minor need, but a need all the same.

A offensive lineman of that caliber at pick 67 is the definition of value, full stop. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
