Draft Grade — Jaguars
Overall B
ValueB+ NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
The Jaguars won the night they stopped Chambliss from sliding. Grade: B.

When a board-topper like Trinidad Chambliss slides to pick 163, you do not overthink it, and the Jaguars did not.

Leaving running back unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the running back spot they never got to.

Pick Analysis
Pick56 Rnd2 Kamari Ramsey
They let Kamari Ramsey come to them and pounced at the 56th overall pick. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick81 Rnd3 Keith Abney II
Keith Abney II slid further than he should have, and Round 3, Pick 17 is lovely value for the cornerback. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick88 Rnd3 Brian Parker II
They read the board right and Brian Parker II was the payoff at pick 88. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick100 Rnd3 Jake Golday
Jake Golday in slot 100 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick125 Rnd4 Jaishawn Barham
Jaishawn Barham at No. 125 is money in the bank, a linebacker taken below his worth. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick163 Rnd5 Trinidad Chambliss
Circle this one: Trinidad Chambliss at the Round 5 slot is a fall that decides a draft. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick165 Rnd5 Zane Durant
They took Zane Durant at par in pick No. 165, which is nothing to complain about. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick233 Rnd7 De'Zhaun Stribling
They barely believed it either: De'Zhaun Stribling still on the board at the 233rd pick. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick245 Rnd7 Jack Velling
A market-rate tight end, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Jack Velling. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
