Draft Grade — Eagles
Overall D
ValueB NeedB+ TradesF FutureB-
A costly weekend of dealing drags the Eagles to a D.

The phones were a trap the Eagles kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal.

They are betting Bowry proves the room right and everyone else wrong. They punted on running back, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

That Thieneman pick is the receipt they will wave around later. On the needs board they went 8 of 9, with cornerback the one that mattered most.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, running back very much included.

Pick Analysis
Pick23 Rnd1 Denzel Boston
In slot 23 they get a No. 1 receiver at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick54 Rnd2 Dillon Thieneman
Dillon Thieneman in the Round 2 slot should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick58 Rnd2 D'Angelo Ponds
They read the board right and D'Angelo Ponds was the payoff at pick No. 58. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick68 Rnd3 Lee Hunter
Lee Hunter slid further than he should have, and Round 3, Pick 4 is lovely value for the interior defensive lineman. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick94 Rnd3 Caden Curry
A reach on Caden Curry in pick 94; the board had better options right there. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick96 Rnd3 Jude Bowry
They talked themselves into Jude Bowry at the 96th pick, and the board did not agree. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick98 Rnd3 Devin Moore
A tidy bit of business in the 98th overall pick, where Devin Moore graded well above the range. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick122 Rnd4 Michael Trigg
They did well to land Michael Trigg in No. 122, just ahead of his grade. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick127 Rnd4 Bryce Lance
Nice patience on Bryce Lance, who had no business lasting to Round 4, Pick 27. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick137 Rnd4 Billy Schrauth
Billy Schrauth in No. 137 lands just on the right side of the ledger. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick151 Rnd5 Kevin Coleman Jr.
No edge and no loss on Kevin Coleman Jr. in slot 151; it is a wash and a sensible one. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick179 Rnd5 Matt Gulbin
A straight-up fair deal on Matt Gulbin at the Round 5 slot, value and slot in agreement. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick201 Rnd6 Dallen Bentley
A tidy little value on Dallen Bentley in the 201st pick, a step better than break-even. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick211 Rnd6 Bud Clark
A reasonable price with a little left over, Bud Clark in the 211th overall pick. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick246 Rnd7 Jalon Daniels
Jalon Daniels in pick No. 246 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. A need, and now a little less of one.
