Draft Grade — Eagles
Overall D-
ValueB NeedB TradesF FutureC+
The Eagles robbed the room for Hunter. Final grade: D-.

The phones were a trap the Eagles kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal.

A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. The Stephens reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.

On value alone, Hunter makes the weekend a net positive.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, edge rusher very much included.

Pick Analysis
Pick23 Rnd1 Kenyon Sadiq
In the 23rd pick they get a security blanket over the middle at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick54 Rnd2 Dillon Thieneman
Dillon Thieneman at Round 2, Pick 22 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick57 Rnd2 D'Angelo Ponds
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing D'Angelo Ponds in the Round 2 slot. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick68 Rnd3 Jonah Coleman
Jonah Coleman at the 68th overall pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It fills a real need, too.
Pick89 Rnd3 Lee Hunter
The board fumbled Lee Hunter all the way to slot 89, and they scooped it up. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick98 Rnd3 Logan Jones
Logan Jones at pick 98 is money in the bank, a offensive lineman taken below his worth. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick122 Rnd4 Bryce Lance
They paid sticker price for Bryce Lance in No. 122, and that is fine. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick137 Rnd4 Beau Stephens
A reach for Beau Stephens in the Round 4 slot; a little patience would have been rewarded. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick210 Rnd6 Toriano Pride Jr.
Toriano Pride Jr. in slot 210 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick215 Rnd6 Jaren Kanak
A market-rate tight end, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Jaren Kanak. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick239 Rnd7 Trey Zuhn III
They took Trey Zuhn III at par in the 239th pick, which is nothing to complain about. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick241 Rnd7 Nolan Rucci
They went early on Nolan Rucci in pick 241, and the value did not follow. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
