Philly V DRAFTING FOR THEEagles

Draft Grade — Eagles
Overall

ValueB
NeedB
TradesF
FutureB-
The phones sank the Eagles this weekend: D-. The trade table was where it all came apart. The Eagles shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill. Too much went sideways, and the D- is the honest tally.
The Bowry reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain.
Getting Dunker where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
In short, the board sent warnings, and they will be hoping it was wrong.
Pick Analysis
Pick23
Rnd1
Kenyon Sadiq
A tidy little value on Kenyon Sadiq in pick 23, a step better than break-even. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick54
Rnd2
Elijah Sarratt
A clean, defensible pick in No. 54 with a little surplus value in Elijah Sarratt. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick63
Rnd2
D'Angelo Ponds
They let D'Angelo Ponds come to them and pounced at the Round 2 slot. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick68
Rnd3
Gennings Dunker
Gennings Dunker slipping to Round 3, Pick 4 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick94
Rnd3
Zakee Wheatley
A tidy bit of business in the 94th overall pick, where Zakee Wheatley graded well above the range. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick98
Rnd3
Jude Bowry
Value said wait; Jude Bowry in pick No. 98 says they were not listening. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick122
Rnd4
Logan Jones
They liked Logan Jones enough to skip the value, taking him in slot 122. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick130
Rnd4
Bryce Lance
A slide stopped in the 130th pick, with Bryce Lance worth more than the price. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick131
Rnd4
Kevin Coleman Jr.
A reach on Kevin Coleman Jr. in the 131st pick; the board had better options right there. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick137
Rnd4
Skyler Gill-Howard
A straight-up fair deal on Skyler Gill-Howard at pick 137, value and slot in agreement. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick151
Rnd5
Nadame Tucker
They paid a round early for Nadame Tucker in the Round 5 slot, more than the board wanted. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick179
Rnd5
Bud Clark
A conviction pick on Bud Clark at slot 179 that the board grades a round light. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick201
Rnd6
Trey Zuhn III
Trey Zuhn III at the 201st overall pick is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick220
Rnd7
Dominic Zvada
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Dominic Zvada. A want dressed up as a pick, at a spot they had covered.
