Draft Grade — Eagles
Overall B
ValueB NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
The Eagles did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B.

There is reaching, and then there is Aaron Graves at Round 4, Pick 37. The Eagles jumped the board by 22 and dared it to prove them wrong.

A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. The Ponds pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.

Pick Analysis
Pick23 Rnd1 Avieon Terrell
Nothing to complain about; Avieon Terrell went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick54 Rnd2 Emmanuel Pregnon
Emmanuel Pregnon at No. 54 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick68 Rnd3 D'Angelo Ponds
They robbed the room for D'Angelo Ponds here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick98 Rnd3 Zakee Wheatley
Nice patience on Zakee Wheatley, who had no business lasting to pick No. 98. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick122 Rnd4 Bryce Lance
Good price on Bryce Lance in Round 4, Pick 22, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick137 Rnd4 Aaron Graves
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Aaron Graves. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick151 Rnd5 Aaron Anderson
They went early on Aaron Anderson in Round 5, Pick 13, and the value did not follow. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick179 Rnd5 Pat Coogan
A straight-up fair deal on Pat Coogan at pick 179, value and slot in agreement. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick201 Rnd6 Trey Zuhn III
Trey Zuhn III at the 201st pick is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
