Draft Grade — Eagles
Overall
D-

TradesF
FutureB-
The Eagles won the night they stopped Clark from sliding. Grade: D-. Every swap seemed to tilt away from the Eagles, and the value they bled adds up to real damage. Put together, it is a D-.
Leaving running back unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Mesidor has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. That Clark pick is the receipt they will wave around later.
The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes.
Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, running back very much included.
Pick Analysis
Pick23
Rnd1
Akheem Mesidor
In pick No. 23 they get a bendy edge with upside, reach and all. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick31
Rnd1
Omar Cooper Jr.
In the 31st overall pick they get a true top target. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick68
Rnd3
Eli Stowers
They read the board right and Eli Stowers was the payoff at slot 68. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick98
Rnd3
Logan Jones
Logan Jones in the Round 3 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick125
Rnd4
Bud Clark
They robbed the room for Bud Clark here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick153
Rnd5
Beau Stephens
No edge and no loss on Beau Stephens in the 153rd pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. It fills a real need, too.
Pick178
Rnd5
Zane Durant
No drama and no debate, Zane Durant went about where he belonged in the Round 5 slot. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick197
Rnd6
Keagen Trost
Keagen Trost in Round 6, Pick 16 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick210
Rnd6
Toriano Pride Jr.
A market-rate cornerback, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Toriano Pride Jr.. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick212
Rnd6
Bobby Jamison-Travis
Bobby Jamison-Travis at No. 212 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick236
Rnd7
Robert Spears-Jennings
They paid sticker price for Robert Spears-Jennings in slot 236, and that is fine. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick255
Rnd7
Jalon Daniels
A reach on Jalon Daniels in pick No. 255; the board had better options right there. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
