A costly weekend of dealing drags the Patriots to a D-.

Nobody had Kamran James this high, and it is not close. The Patriots reached 102 spots to get him at the 247th overall pick.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. The Neal pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at interior defensive lineman, quarterback and other spots. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up.

If one pick saves this weekend, it is Davis.

A rough weekend that leaves the roster with more questions than answers.
