Nothing loud, just a tidy B for the Panthers.

The rest of the league had time to spare on Jalen Thompson; the Panthers did not wait, grabbing him 68 spots ahead at the 235th overall pick. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. Iheanachor at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
