The Panthers won the night they stopped Nussmeier from sliding. Grade: B+.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Panthers were there to profit. Garrett Nussmeier, the No. 20 name on the board, should have been long gone before the 70th overall pick. They moved the roster forward and banked a B+ for it.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. The Caelen Carson deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.

They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
