Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
The Packers won the night they stopped Golday from sliding. Grade: B-.

Somebody in slot 91 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Packers sat still while Jake Golday, the No. 58 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.

The cost of the Zuhn III reach is exactly the players who went right after him. A whole weekend of picks and running back is somehow still a want. The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.

The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.

Pick Analysis
Pick52 Rnd2 Keith Abney II
A slide stopped in slot 52, with Keith Abney II worth more than the price. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick91 Rnd3 Jake Golday
A top-tier edge rusher at a bargain, Jake Golday in pick No. 91, plain and simple. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick120 Rnd4 Logan Jones
Logan Jones in No. 120 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick126 Rnd4 Gracen Halton
A reach for Gracen Halton in pick 126; a little patience would have been rewarded. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick158 Rnd5 Domani Jackson
They did well to land Domani Jackson in the 158th pick, just ahead of his grade. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick199 Rnd6 Bobby Jamison-Travis
They took Bobby Jamison-Travis at par in the 199th overall pick, which is nothing to complain about. It fills a real need, too.
Pick220 Rnd7 Trey Zuhn III
They reached a country mile for Trey Zuhn III at Round 7, Pick 4, and the board is aghast. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick236 Rnd7 TJ Hall
Quietly one of the better values of the day, TJ Hall at the Round 7 slot. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick254 Rnd7 Nick Barrett
A straight-up fair deal on Nick Barrett at pick 254, value and slot in agreement. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick257 Rnd7 Luke Altmyer
They let Luke Altmyer come to them and pounced at slot 257. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
