Draft Grade — Packers
Overall

FutureB
A solid, sensible weekend for the Packers: B-. There is reaching, and then there is Marvin Jones Jr. at the Round 7 slot. The Packers jumped the board by 81 and dared it to prove them wrong.
Getting Montgomery where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. They punted on running back, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
Job largely done: edge rusher settled and 6 of 8 of the wish list covered.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
Pick Analysis
Pick60
Rnd2
Caleb Banks
A tidy bit of business in slot 60, where Caleb Banks graded well above the range. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick84
Rnd3
Caden Curry
They reached into another round for Caden Curry, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick120
Rnd4
Hezekiah Masses
Hezekiah Masses in pick 120 is fair value, right on his grade. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick126
Rnd4
Logan Jones
They paid sticker price for Logan Jones in the Round 4 slot, and that is fine. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick158
Rnd5
Davison Igbinosun
Davison Igbinosun at Round 5, Pick 20 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the cornerback. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick165
Rnd5
Aamil Wagner
Aamil Wagner at pick No. 165 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick199
Rnd6
Tyren Montgomery
The board fumbled Tyren Montgomery all the way to pick No. 199, and they scooped it up. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick236
Rnd7
Trey Zuhn III
They paid up for Trey Zuhn III at the 236th overall pick when waiting would have done the job. The roster fit checks out.
Pick244
Rnd7
TJ Hall
They will replay TJ Hall at the Round 7 slot for years; that is how good the value is. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick254
Rnd7
Marvin Jones Jr.
A real head-scratcher, Marvin Jones Jr. in slot 254 is miles ahead of his ranking. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick257
Rnd7
Cole Payton
A quarterback of that caliber at No. 257 is the definition of value, full stop. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
