Draft Grade — Eagles
Overall
A
ValueA
NeedB-

FutureA+
The Eagles won the night they stopped Mateer from sliding. Grade: A. The Eagles did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and John Mateer fell into the Round 6 slot.
The Eagles indulged a want in Perkins Jr. while a need in edge rusher and interior defensive lineman stayed open. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.
In the end it comes back to CJ Allen, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
Pick Analysis
Pick85
Rnd3
CJ Allen
CJ Allen at No. 85 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick95
Rnd3
Cayden Green
They barely believed it either: Cayden Green still on the board at Round 3, Pick 31. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick96
Rnd3
Joe Royer
Somehow Joe Royer was still sitting there in pick No. 96, and they pounced on premier tight end value. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick103
Rnd4
Kamari Ramsey
Taking Kamari Ramsey in the Round 4 slot is close to grand larceny; a safety that good had no business lasting this long. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick112
Rnd4
Malachi Fields
A top-tier wide receiver at a bargain, Malachi Fields in the 112th overall pick, plain and simple. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick131
Rnd4
Harold Perkins Jr.
Of all the spots to shop, they chose linebacker. Harold Perkins Jr. in the 131st pick leaves edge rusher and interior defensive lineman for later.
Pick132
Rnd4
Kenyon Sadiq
They robbed the room for Kenyon Sadiq here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick133
Rnd4
Tacario Davis
Tacario Davis in pick 133 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick134
Rnd4
Jaydn Ott
You do not let a running back like Jaydn Ott reach slot 134 and blink. They did not. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick136
Rnd4
Raylen Wilson
A surprising call. With edge rusher and interior defensive lineman still to address, they spent pick 136 on Raylen Wilson, a linebacker they were not short of.
Pick137
Rnd4
Evan Stewart
They will replay Evan Stewart at the Round 4 slot for years; that is how good the value is. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick167
Rnd5
Jackson Arnold
Jackson Arnold at Round 5, Pick 29 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. The roster fit checks out.
Pick193
Rnd6
John Mateer
John Mateer in No. 193 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick206
Rnd6
Shamar Easter
The board fumbled Shamar Easter all the way to the 206th pick, and they scooped it up. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick212
Rnd6
Jahiem White
Jahiem White at the 212th overall pick is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. It fills a real need, too.
Pick214
Rnd6
Barion Brown
Steal is underselling it; Barion Brown at pick No. 214 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
