The Rams spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Drew Allar, the No. 135 name on the board, in the 167th overall pick.

They punted on running back, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The Everette pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with running back, interior defensive lineman and other spots still on the board. Every board in the league had Sturdivant lower, and that gap is the story.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
