A franchise passer in Mendoza headlines a B weekend for the Jets. After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Jets committed. Fernando Mendoza is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. More right than wrong, and a B to match.
They will need O'Neill to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. On value alone, Golday makes the weekend a net positive.
For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain. With interior defensive lineman and running back unsolved, spending premium capital on linebacker is the choice that costs them.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
