Of all the ways to open, the Rams chose the head-scratcher, spending Round 3, Pick 30 on Daylen Everette with running back, quarterback and other spots still wide open. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.

They will regret leaving running back for another day if the season turns on it. Getting Thieneman where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

The cost of the Perkins Jr. reach is exactly the players who went right after him.
