This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Kayden McDonald, the No. 21 name on the board, stolen at slot 192. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

So much rides on Fernando Mendoza that the rest of the class almost grades on a curve behind him. They went 8 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
