The search is over. The Saints handed the keys to Fernando Mendoza, and the whole operation now runs on his development.

They banked enough surplus on Haulcy to cover a lot of smaller sins. A whole weekend of picks and offensive lineman is somehow still a want.

They will need Mendoza to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. Job largely done: edge rusher settled and 6 of 8 of the wish list covered.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
