Draft Grade — Eagles

Best value of the weekend goes to the Eagles for Nussmeier: B. This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Garrett Nussmeier, the No. 20 name on the board, stolen at pick 65. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.
For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain. If Rhodes Jr. pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
Pick Analysis
Pick32
Rnd1
Quincy Rhodes Jr.
In Round 1, Pick 32 they get a premier pass rusher, reach and all. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick64
Rnd2
Taurean York
By-the-book stuff, Taurean York at the 64th overall pick squarely in line with his ranking. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick65
Rnd3
Garrett Nussmeier
Garrett Nussmeier at pick 65 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick96
Rnd3
Rod Moore
Somehow Rod Moore was still sitting there in the Round 3 slot, and they pounced on premier safety value. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick98
Rnd3
Jack Endries
They paid sticker price for Jack Endries in slot 98, and that is fine. It fills a real need, too.
Pick132
Rnd4
Zachariah Branch
Zachariah Branch at the 132nd pick is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick135
Rnd4
Kevin Coleman Jr.
You do not let a wide receiver like Kevin Coleman Jr. reach pick No. 135 and blink. They did not. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick153
Rnd5
CJ Baxter
CJ Baxter in No. 153 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick169
Rnd5
Jermaine Mathews Jr.
No drama and no debate, Jermaine Mathews Jr. went about where he belonged in pick 169. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick183
Rnd5
Monroe Mills
Steal is underselling it; Monroe Mills at slot 183 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick215
Rnd6
Bryce Foster
Bryce Foster at No. 215 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. The roster fit checks out.
