The Panthers let Mesidor fall into their laps, and walked away with a B-.

Somebody in Round 3, Pick 19 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Panthers sat still while Akheem Mesidor, the No. 60 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. The bottom line is a respectable B-.

The Lane reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. Leaving cornerback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Pick19 Rnd1 Kenyon Sadiq

In the 19th overall pick they get a red-zone target to build around. A clean fit for the roster.

Ja'Kobi Lane at the 51st pick is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
