Somehow the biggest item on the list survived the weekend. The Lions never addressed offensive lineman, and it is the kind of gap that lingers.

The Kamara pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes.

The back end got a real overhaul.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
