It is the swing that defines the weekend: Cole Payton in pick 211, a good 25 spots before the room expected him.

They banked enough surplus on Ponds to cover a lot of smaller sins. That wide receiver hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.
