Draft Grade — Eagles

Grand theft in pick 134: the Eagles steal Farmer and grade out a B-.

For all the names on the card, the loudest question went unanswered. The Eagles walked out of the weekend still thin at edge rusher, a hole that has a way of deciding seasons. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.

However the rest shakes out, Farmer at that price is a win they earned. On the needs board they went 6 of 9, with cornerback the one that mattered most.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.

Pick Analysis
Pick32 Rnd1 Emeka Egbuka
In the Round 1 slot they get a matchup problem out wide at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick64 Rnd2 Carson Schwesinger
Carson Schwesinger in the 64th overall pick is fair value, right on his grade. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick96 Rnd3 Andrew Mukuba
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Andrew Mukuba at Round 3, Pick 32. It fills a real need, too.
Pick134 Rnd4 Joshua Farmer
Taking Joshua Farmer in slot 134 is close to grand larceny; an interior defensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick161 Rnd5 Jalen Rivers
Jalen Rivers in No. 161 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick164 Rnd5 Bhayshul Tuten
Bhayshul Tuten at the 164th pick is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick165 Rnd5 James Burnip
James Burnip at pick 165 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A want dressed up as a pick, at a spot they had covered.
Pick168 Rnd5 Tommi Hill
Tommi Hill at pick No. 168 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the cornerback. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
