The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Colts reached some 26 spots for Benjamin Morrison, and value like that does not grow back.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. The Burke pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with quarterback, running back and other spots still on the board.

If Benjamin Morrison and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.

In the 14th pick they get a potential shutdown corner, though the board says they badly overpaid. Need was not the driver here.
Pick45 Rnd2 T.J. Sanders
T.J. Sanders in No. 45 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick80 Rnd3 Elijah Arroyo
A clean, defensible pick in slot 80 with a little surplus value in Elijah Arroyo. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.

They zigged when the board said zag, taking Denzel Burke at cornerback with quarterback, running back and other spots open.

Nick Nash in the Round 5 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick189 Rnd6 Jack Nelson
Good price on Jack Nelson in pick 189, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. A need, and now a little less of one.
