The Lions looked at the value chart, folded it up, and took Kalil Alexander at the 222nd overall pick regardless, 68 picks early. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

For all the activity, safety went untouched, which is hard to explain. They banked enough surplus on Wallace III to cover a lot of smaller sins.

Job largely done: cornerback settled and 4 of 9 of the wish list covered. Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
