Draft Grade — Colts
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB- TradesB- FutureB-
The Colts checked most of the boxes and earned a B-.

If confidence were a draft strategy, the Colts would have aced it. Vincent Anthony Jr. at No. 154 is 43 spots clear of where he belonged. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. On value alone, Cisse makes the weekend a net positive.

Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick47 Rnd2 Brandon Cisse
Brandon Cisse slid further than he should have, and slot 47 is lovely value for the cornerback. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick78 Rnd3 Jacob Rodriguez
Jacob Rodriguez at the 78th overall pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick113 Rnd4 Keyron Crawford
They paid a round early for Keyron Crawford in the Round 4 slot, more than the board wanted. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick154 Rnd5 Vincent Anthony Jr.
They reached into another round for Vincent Anthony Jr., and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick216 Rnd6 Dane Key
Dane Key at pick 216 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the wide receiver. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick230 Rnd7 TJ Hall
A tidy bit of business in Round 7, Pick 14, where TJ Hall graded well above the range. A want dressed up as a pick, at a spot they had covered.
Pick253 Rnd7 Josh Cuevas
Josh Cuevas in the 253rd pick is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
