The trade table was a mismatch, and the Jets were on the right end of it, hauling in a fortune in surplus value. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.
That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. On value alone, Anthony makes the weekend a net positive. They will need All to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick-by-Pick
No drama and no debate, Taliese Fuaga went about where he belonged in No. 15. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
They paid sticker price for Cooper Beebe in Round 2, Pick 14, and that is fine. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Devontez Walker at the 72nd pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
They paid a round early for Johnny Wilson in the Round 4 slot, more than the board wanted. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
They paid up for Mason McCormick at slot 135 when waiting would have done the job. It fills a real need, too.
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Erick All well ahead of where he belonged. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Darius Muasau in No. 256 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
