More right than wrong for the 49ers, and a B- to prove it.

Nobody else had Keylan Rutledge anywhere near the 58th overall pick. The 49ers did, by 45 spots, and that gap is the whole story. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

That Golday pick is the receipt they will wave around later. For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain. Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

Good work on the whole, with running back the one box left unchecked.
