Draft Grade — Rams
Overall
B-
ValueB-

FutureB-
Best value of the weekend goes to the Rams for Lew: B-. Somebody in the 93rd pick was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Rams sat still while Connor Lew, the No. 60 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.
If Dunker pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. The running back hole is the one line item this class does not answer. They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
The back end got a real overhaul.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the running back spot they never got to.
Pick Analysis
Pick13
Rnd1
Mansoor Delane
In the Round 1 slot they get an island corner at fair value.
Pick29
Rnd1
Gennings Dunker
In the 29th pick they get a cornerstone up front, a steep price for the projection. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick61
Rnd2
Michael Taaffe
They jumped the gun on Michael Taaffe, taking him earlier than his grade liked. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick93
Rnd3
Connor Lew
Connor Lew at Round 3, Pick 29 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick167
Rnd5
Cyrus Allen
Good price on Cyrus Allen in pick 167, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick205
Rnd6
Sawyer Robertson
No drama and no debate, Sawyer Robertson went about where he belonged in slot 205. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick208
Rnd6
Dae'Quan Wright
They robbed the room for Dae'Quan Wright here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick232
Rnd7
Jimmy Rolder
They read the board right and Jimmy Rolder was the payoff at pick No. 232. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick250
Rnd7
Andre Fuller
A slide stopped in pick No. 250, with Andre Fuller worth more than the price. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
Pick256
Rnd7
Fa'alili Fa'amoe
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Fa'alili Fa'amoe at Round 7, Pick 40 is the proof. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
