Draft Grade — Cowboys
Overall B-
ValueC+ NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
A solid, sensible weekend for the Cowboys: B-.

Call it belief, call it a gut call, but Zxavian Harris at slot 92 is 62 spots clear of consensus, and that is the headline. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped wide receiver, which is a strange place to end up. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Styles. They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but wide receiver.

Pick Analysis
Pick12 Rnd1 Kenyon Sadiq
In Round 1, Pick 12 they get a seam-stretching tight end. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick29 Rnd1 Sonny Styles
Sonny Styles is a better player than the Round 1 slot suggests; smart patience, rewarded. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick74 Rnd3 Kamari Ramsey
They took Kamari Ramsey at par in the 74th pick, which is nothing to complain about. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick92 Rnd3 Zxavian Harris
Zxavian Harris in pick 92 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick112 Rnd4 Harold Perkins Jr.
A wild overpay on Harold Perkins Jr. in the 112th overall pick, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick148 Rnd5 Ephesians Prysock
This one needs a full-page explanation: Ephesians Prysock in No. 148, miles early. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick177 Rnd5 Keagen Trost
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Keagen Trost. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick180 Rnd5 Kaleb Elarms-Orr
Good price on Kaleb Elarms-Orr in Round 5, Pick 40, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick218 Rnd7 Thaddeus Dixon
No edge and no loss on Thaddeus Dixon in the Round 7 slot; it is a wash and a sensible one. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
