Reheheheheh DRAFTING FOR THESeahawks
Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall
B
ValueA-
NeedB+
TradesB-
FutureB-
Reese should have been long gone. The Seahawks pounced, and earned a B. Somebody in slot 32 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Seahawks sat still while Arvell Reese, the No. 7 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.
A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. Reaching for Payton left real value on the table behind him. They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick32
Rnd1
Arvell Reese
In Round 1, Pick 32 they get a downhill thumper at linebacker at a price that makes it sweeter. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick64
Rnd2
Germie Bernard
Germie Bernard in the 64th overall pick is fair value, right on his grade. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick96
Rnd3
Davison Igbinosun
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Davison Igbinosun at pick 96 is the proof. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick188
Rnd6
Cole Payton
They jumped the gun on Cole Payton, taking him earlier than his grade liked. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
