Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Patriots spent pick No. 95 on J.C. Davis, a name most had 47 spots down the list. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

That is a wide receiver worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
