Draft Grade — Giants
Overall

The Giants did enough to get by: C. The tape said wait; the Giants did not. Cade Denhoff went at the Round 6 slot, a good 276 picks before the board was ready.
The World pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. Leaving safety unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Interior defensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
The skill positions did well by the weekend.
If Jonah Coleman and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.
Pick Analysis
Pick5
Rnd1
Jonah Coleman
In the 5th overall pick they get a centerpiece for the ground game, though the board says they badly overpaid. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick37
Rnd2
Emmanuel Pregnon
Emmanuel Pregnon at No. 37 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick105
Rnd4
Malachi Lawrence
Malachi Lawrence at the 105th pick is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick145
Rnd5
DeMonte Capehart
DeMonte Capehart slid further than he should have, and pick No. 145 is lovely value for the interior defensive lineman. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick186
Rnd6
Cade Denhoff
A wild overpay on Cade Denhoff in slot 186, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick192
Rnd6
Roderick Kearney
They reached a country mile for Roderick Kearney at pick 192, and the board is aghast. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick193
Rnd6
Isaiah World
The board fumbled Isaiah World all the way to the Round 6 slot, and they scooped it up. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
