The Dolphins bet big and early on Will Kacmarek, 229 picks ahead of the board. Bold does not always mean right. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

Rodriguez at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up.

On the needs board they went 4 of 8, with wide receiver the one that mattered most. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
