Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Chiefs spent the Round 3 slot on Emmett Johnson, a name the board had a full 34 spots lower. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.

Cooper falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
