The Commanders looked at the value chart, folded it up, and took Da'Shawn Womack at slot 223 regardless, 46 picks early.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. They banked enough surplus on Muhammad to cover a lot of smaller sins. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up.

The veteran additions, Jaelan Phillips chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.
