The board owed the Steelers one, and it paid up: Jadarian Price, the No. 57 name on the board, sitting there at slot 99 like a gift left on the doorstep.

Every board in the league had Pavia lower, and that gap is the story. They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

With interior defensive lineman and edge rusher unsolved, spending premium capital on offensive lineman is the choice that costs them.
