The 49ers let Sarratt fall into their laps, and walked away with a B.

Whoever sat across the table from the 49ers should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

The 49ers indulged a want in Clark while a need in quarterback and tight end stayed open. That is a wide receiver worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want.

The cost of the Louis reach is exactly the players who went right after him.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
