Slaughter should have been long gone. The Dolphins pounced, and earned a D+. The rest of the league will want that one back. Jake Slaughter tumbling to the Dolphins in the 114th overall pick is a gift they did not have to think twice about. Put together, it is a D+.
The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. The Dolphins paired the rookies with proven help, Tyler Guyton leading the way.
Quarterback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. They chose more darts over a bigger single swing.
The verdict is not kind, and fairly so; this class has a hill to climb.
