Draft Grade — Rams

Good, not great, for the Rams: B-. The weekend has a hole in the middle of it named wide receiver, a need the Rams walked right past.
They will need Freeling to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. Getting Haulcy where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. The roster is better shaped than it was, with safety chief among the fixes.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but wide receiver.
Pick Analysis
Pick13
Rnd1
Avieon Terrell
In the 13th overall pick they get a press-man option on the boundary at fair value.
Pick29
Rnd1
Monroe Freeling
In pick 29 they get a blindside protector, a steep price for the projection. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick61
Rnd2
A.J. Haulcy
They let A.J. Haulcy come to them and pounced at No. 61. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
