Draft Grade — Panthers
Overall B+
ValueB NeedB+ TradesB+ FutureB+
Lew should have been long gone. The Panthers pounced, and earned a B+.

You could see the war room lean forward. Connor Lew at Round 3, Pick 19 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. The bottom line is a respectable B+.

The linebacker hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The cost of the Curry reach is exactly the players who went right after him.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick19 Rnd1 Avieon Terrell
Avieon Terrell in the Round 1 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick83 Rnd3 Connor Lew
The board fumbled Connor Lew all the way to Round 3, Pick 19, and they scooped it up. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick108 Rnd4 Caden Curry
They went early on Caden Curry in slot 108, and the value did not follow. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick119 Rnd4 Bryce Lance
No edge and no loss on Bryce Lance in the 119th overall pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick130 Rnd4 Jalon Kilgore
They let Jalon Kilgore come to them and pounced at No. 130. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick156 Rnd5 Louis Moore
Louis Moore in the 156th pick is fair value, right on his grade. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick157 Rnd5 Albert Regis
By-the-book stuff, Albert Regis at pick No. 157 squarely in line with his ranking. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick198 Rnd6 Josh Cameron
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Josh Cameron in pick 198. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick235 Rnd7 Zavion Thomas
The board had Zavion Thomas higher than the 235th overall pick, and the wide receiver fell to them anyway. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
