Draft Grade — Titans
Overall B-
ValueB NeedB- TradesF FutureA+
A costly weekend of dealing drags the Titans to a B-.

The Titans lost the trade war and it was not close, handing partners the better end again and again.

Igbinosun has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Job largely done: offensive lineman settled and 4 of 8 of the wish list covered.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.

Pick Analysis
Pick6 Rnd1 Caleb Downs
In the Round 1 slot they get a centerfielder for the defense. Need was not the driver here.
Pick33 Rnd2 Jake Slaughter
Jake Slaughter in the 33rd pick is fair value, right on his grade. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick38 Rnd2 Anthony Hill Jr.
Anthony Hill Jr. in slot 38 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick65 Rnd3 A'Mauri Washington
A'Mauri Washington at pick 65 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick74 Rnd3 Deontae Lawson
They paid sticker price for Deontae Lawson in Round 3, Pick 10, and that is fine. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick101 Rnd4 Omar Cooper Jr.
Omar Cooper Jr. at pick No. 101 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the wide receiver. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick141 Rnd5 Davison Igbinosun
A wild overpay on Davison Igbinosun in No. 141, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick144 Rnd5 Bray Hubbard
Nothing to complain about; Bray Hubbard went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
Pick179 Rnd6 Aaron Anderson
Aaron Anderson in pick No. 179 lands just on the right side of the ledger. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick223 Rnd7 Trey Zuhn III
Trey Zuhn III at Round 7, Pick 9 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick236 Rnd7 Barion Brown
A conviction pick on Barion Brown at slot 236 that the board grades a round light. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
