Draft Grade — Titans
Overall B+
ValueB NeedB- TradesA FutureA
The Titans won the night they stopped Davis from sliding. Grade: B+.

This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Tacario Davis, the No. 122 name on the board, stolen at the 141st pick. It nets out to a B+, which feels about right.

The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Reaching for Durant left real value on the table behind him.

The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own. The roster is better shaped than it was, with offensive lineman chief among the fixes.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Pick Analysis
Pick8 Rnd1 Caleb Downs
Nothing to complain about; Caleb Downs went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick28 Rnd1 Kenyon Sadiq
In pick No. 28 they get a seam-stretching tight end at fair value.
Pick33 Rnd2 Anthony Hill Jr.
A market-rate linebacker, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Anthony Hill Jr.. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick45 Rnd2 Jake Slaughter
A slide stopped in slot 45, with Jake Slaughter worth more than the price. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick65 Rnd3 Nyck Harbor
Nyck Harbor in pick 65 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick101 Rnd4 Julian Neal
Nice patience on Julian Neal, who had no business lasting to the 101st pick. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick141 Rnd5 Tacario Davis
They will replay Tacario Davis at Round 5, Pick 1 for years; that is how good the value is. A luxury on a unit that was already in good shape.
Pick144 Rnd5 Eric Rivers
Eric Rivers at the Round 5 slot is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick171 Rnd5 Zane Durant
The board had cheaper options than Zane Durant at pick 171, and it noticed. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick179 Rnd6 Xavier Nwankpa
Xavier Nwankpa in Round 6, Pick 1 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
Pick236 Rnd7 Jalon Daniels
A tidy bit of business in the 236th overall pick, where Jalon Daniels graded well above the range. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
