Thomas should have been long gone. The Browns pounced, and earned a D-.

The trade table was where it all came apart. The Browns shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill. Too much went sideways, and the D- is the honest tally.

The Taylor reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. That tight end hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Thomas.

It is a win-now wager, and the future is the stake.

In short, the board sent warnings, and they will be hoping it was wrong.

They took Carnell Tate at par in slot 6, which is nothing to complain about. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.

Pick24 Rnd1 Akheem Mesidor

In Round 1, Pick 24 they get a bendy edge with upside, even if it was a touch early. The biggest hole, addressed.

Caleb Banks in the 39th pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
